St. Petersburg, FL - A private, not-for-profit level II trauma hospital with a brand-new endovascular system is seeking cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nurses. All types of adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgery (excluding heart transplants) are performed at this facility. Qualified candidates must:
• Have a current US RN license
• Be currently working in a hospital
• Have ACLS.
• Possess critical thinking skills, computer skills, technical skills, troubleshooting skills, ability to work under stress, ability to delegate and prioritize.
• Be able to legally work in the USA (or a citizen of Canada, Mexico or Australia)
We prefer candidates who:
• Have CNOR
• Have CVOR scrub and circulating experience. Willing to train if the candidate has an extensive background in the Operating Room and also has a strong desire to join the CVOR team.
Some of the technology and equipment commonly used includes:
New state of the art ORs including two oversized CVORs, Stryker integration systems within the OR suites, TMR laser, Medtronic ablation unit, endovascular vein harvesting, IVUS ultrasound for endovascular cases, Abiomed for heart assist device, Datascope Intra-AorticBalloon Pump. Coming soon: a new computer OR record using Surginet which is part of the Cerner System.
