Vam Systems currently looking for SQL Server DBA for our QATAR operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skills Set required:
Skills / Attributes Required
• Minimum 4 years of database administration experience.
• MCITP certification on Database administration must.
• In depth SQL Server database Administration experience.
• Experience of managing multiple ms sql 2000, 2005 & sql 2008 rdbms on large systems.
• Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on SQL Database projects experience.
• Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to SQL provide a high availability service.
• Experience of Transactional SQL, and DTS stored procedures.
• Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security.
• Oracle DBA experience & knowledge will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the SQL Server.
• Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
• To proactively monitor the SQL database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Make sure database replication perfectly done at remote site and recovery in DR scenario.
• Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL Server, development.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades, applying patches.
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales.

Joining time frame : 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
The selected candidates shall join Vam Systems – Qatar and shall be deputed to one of the leading banks in Qatar .
