Deal with existing and future GIS projects
Analyze and assess the current state and usage of GIS by MOI
Identify GIS technology improvements needed to re-align GIS with MOI business needs
Develop measureable improvement plans for GIS
Develop plans and provide guidance to expand the usage of GIS to the rest of MOI sectors
Establish a Center of Excellence for GIS including a homepage with all relevant information and documentation
Provide solutions to GIS related problems
Provide awareness sessions and knowledge transfer
Establish a laboratory for studies and for reproducing and rectifying problems
Excellent command of the English language, Preference will be given to bilingual in Arabic and English.
At least an undergraduate degree in a technical field such as: math, software engineering or computer science. Preference will be given to graduate degree holders in GIS having the needed experience.
Advanced GIS design and implementation skills and experience
Good project management skills.
Advanced quantitative research and presentation skills
At least five (5) recent years of field experience in a similar role with emphasis on GIS improvement areas.
