Event / Incident Management – Reactive (35%)
• Maintain an holistic view of the infrastructure and applications and ensure that all detection channels are actively monitored for any events that require an operational response:
- Alert displays.
- Service Center workflow queues.
- All other channels: telephone hunt group, team mailbox, etc.
Event / Incident Management – Proactive (25%)
• Ensure that all Service Center workflow queues are properly managed; i.e. incident tickets updated, assigned, linked or closed, problem tickets created or updated, etc.
• Identify and report repeat incidents and ensure that Problem Management colleagues are effectively engaged to follow up.
Change Implementation (15%)
• Monitor change queues and ensure that team members execute the implementation of infrastructure and application changes according to best practices.
Schedule / Workload Management (15%)
• Use system management tools to monitor / control the infrastructure and applications systems in both a proactive and reactive manner.
General (10%)
• Act as a key point of contact for inbound Production Operations queries / issues and handle day-to-day operational correspondence.
Essential
• Leadership skills for real and virtual teams.
• Competent in dealing with multiple support areas and / or suppliers.
• Event, Incident, Problem and Change Management skills.
• Skilled in using formal problem solving techniques.
