(Part time position)

Global Partnership Schools (GPS) is introducing SES programs at multiple schools throughout the US. SES programs are designed to provide additional instruction after school to increase the academic achievement of low income students attending Title I schools as identified as “in need of improvement” by the US Department of Education.
We need a high-powered educational “insider” to start up and maintain these programs. Duties include providing hiring and training teachers, recruiting students, starting and overseeing operations, building strong relationships with school members and community, supervision, and compliance.
Within our organization and this program, this is a critically important position. The success of multiple site SES programs depends upon the effectiveness of the Program Director. We are looking for a well-connected, articulate, and diplomatic leader who enjoys challenge and responsibility.
Background
Manuel J. Rivera and Rudy Crew, recent National Superintendent of the Year winners with proven records, are the leaders of GPS. They will lead the transformation of public education and introduce new systems for the management of school change throughout the United States.
Global Partnership Schools is an education company that will specialize in services to urban students who are at risk of failure. We will use a customized, student-centered approach, research-based best practices, national and international benchmarking, technology-enhanced learning, and an emphasis on outcomes and accountability. Our goal is to develop a network of partnerships with public schools across the United States.
During the upcoming school year, GPS will offer SES Programs in possibly 7 states. The company will employ specially trained teachers who commit to engage parents as partners and customize instruction based on individual student needs.
