| Job Description: |
Design Engineer
Responsible for comprehending customer requirements, selecting and specifying suitable components and systems, creating product layouts, Bills of Material and Manufacturing Drawings.
Tasks:
Liaise with customer to agree design specification.
Liaise with suppliers to select components and systems.
Design equipment layout to meet agreed fit, functional, regulatory and service requirements.
Produce supporting calculations.
Produce layout and part drawings.
Compile and maintain BOMs.
Compile technical and certification packages. |
Skills Required:: |
>3 years design experience preferably with oilfield equipment - otherwise heavy industrial equipment.
Ability to perform basic structural, thermodynamic and power calculations.
Ability to create manufacturing and schematic diagrams.
Ability to specify suitable components and manage Bills of Material.
Good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, control systems, engines, pumps, etc.
Excellent 2D & 3D CAD (AutoCAD Inventor) and computer literacy.
Good English capability is essential. |
