Our client is URGENTLY seeking the following individual for its project in Kuwait.
The Project is the refurbishment of the Kuwait International Airport therefore candidates with AIRPORT experience would be an advantage.
Senior Structural Engineer
We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Structural Design Engineer for one of our key project in Kuwait. The Senior Structural Design Engineer will serve as the project lead to work on the structural design of various types of complex/large projects such as commercial, high-rises, complex bridges and other mixed-use developments. He will be responsible for supervising a design team that is responsible for selecting and implementing the most efficient and economical structural designs to meet the project deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the technical accuracy of the work produced by the design team
• Responsible for interfacing with the other disciplines to insure proper co-ordination of the structural aspects of the project
• Required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the define scope & schedule
• Provides technical guidance to the Design Team and other Engineers working on the same project
• Interfaces with the Project Manager to determine schedules and monitor design progress.
• May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
• Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional and experience preferred
• 10-12 years of related work experience with a professional consulting firm
