Our client is URGENTLY seeking the following individual for its project in Kuwait.
The Project is the refurbishment of the Kuwait International Airport therefore candidates with AIRPORT experience would be an advantage.
Senior Project Manager
We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all aspects of the refurbishment of Kuwait International Airport within the scope of the overall program. The Senior Project Manager will manage and lead the project delivery team through all phases the project, including design, construction, financial, and client satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day management of the project delivery team
- Assists Project Director and provides coverage in their absence
- Coordinates Design and Construction Managers
- Assimilate the program operational procedures, controls and administrative systems into the project delivery team
- Monitor and coordinate budget and schedule with shared services
- Maintain action plan and communicate it to the project delivery team
- Lead the project delivery team that monitors, coordinates, administers and evaluates all key project activities, inclusive of the programming, design and construction phases, to ensure optimum scope / configuration control, cost /schedule compliance, and quality assurance / control of project designs, specifications, contracting strategies and contractor performance
- Provide project director, and shared services with appropriate financial analysis information
- Anticipate potential schedule or priority delays and initiate plans for alternative actions
- Evaluate and make recommendations on changes in scope of work
- Coordinate project close out activities
- Train, mentor and develop staff
- Ensure the QA/QC procedures are being implemented and followed at all phases of a project in accordance with Quality Assurance Program procedures and the Management PM/CM Manual
Education: License and bachelor’s degree in related subject.
Experience: Over 15 years of related experience, including over 8 years in a supervisory role; experience managing midsize to large scale projects essential.
