| Job Description: |
The equipment preservation supervisor shall be responsible
for overseeing the maintenance and storage of mechanical
and electrical equipment. Ensure overall compliance with the
preservation requirements from the time the material and
equipment are received at the site through turnover to the
owner. Compiles vendor documentation for the maintenance
and storage requirements including any special instructions.
Compiles preservation maintenance and storage records for
each piece of equipment. Review contractor’s procedures for
preservation, storage, shipping and receiving of project
equipment. Review preservation records and inspection of
equipment to ensure that preservation maintenance is
performed during storage, handling, installation and pre-turnover
per vendor requirements. Ensure contractors
documentation records are in order and kept current.
Liaison/coordinate with procurement to obtain vendor
information and contacts. Liaison/coordinate with QA relating
to QA records and reconciliation if needed. Respond to
critical needs with reliability and timeliness.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience required; 10-15
years experience required; has demonstrated and proven
track record in self performed construction/equipment
maintenance and storage work. Nuclear power plant
experience preferred. Good oral and written English.
Teamwork player; has in-depth knowledge of work processes
and tools within own area; Uses operational and supervisory
expertise to solve problems within own area; resolves routine
problems using defined processes and own experience. |
