Overall Purpose Of The Job:
To manage Diving operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain and elsewhere as directed by the General Manager Middle East operations, ensuring the quality of service delivery and profitability of the operation.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities:
Operations
1. To provide technical support to General Manager ME Operations on aspects of jobs.
2. Admin for Diving Contracts on a daily basis:
-Preparing job files on UMC – Management Information System
-Preparing on-site documentation
-Liaising with divers
-Booking and planning hotels/flights etc
-Liaising with other operations managers / coordinators
-Updating operational paperwork
-Updating Site Security documents for divers
-Keeping job file records up to date
-Liaising with Customers
-Closing jobs and invoicing
-Completing Reports with Superintendents
-Administration process for new sub-contract divers
-Updating Sub-contract diver database
-Complete diver days and Monthly turnover records
3. To assist, promote and seek new business opportunities.
4. To assist and promote diver training combined with good working practice.
5. To ensure all ME diving operations are carried out in accordance with UMC policies and procedures.
6. To provide assistance with quoting and organising overseas diving operations.
7. To Deputise for UAE Operations Branch manager as required.
8. To provide onsite assistance to diving operations as required.
9. To provide out of hours assistance to ME General Manager as required.
10. Assisting with customer enquiries and submitting quotations to clients under the guidance of ME General Manager Operations.
11. Maintain a current diving medical certificate.
In addition to the job description the successful candidate will need to be:
· An experienced, highly motivated manager, able to shoulder responsibility, demonstrate flexibility, work under pressure to tight deadlines.
· Demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge of diving equipment, diving operations, ship systems and ship operations in order to successfully manage the planning, execution and reporting of underwater ship engineering operations, which will be executed by an experienced diving team(s).
· An excellent communicator (verbal and written).
· Business acumen in sales, customer management, business development and financial control and reporting.
· A clean driving licence.
· Computer literate.
·Educated to HND- Degree Level or equivalent
