| Job Description: |
One of our clients are looking for highly skilled Automotive Enginners for the design of a new electric car in South Africa.
Summary of Duties: (Principal accountabilities and Activities)
To establish the test vehicle requirements with inputs from all the subjects:
Overseeing the design of mule vehicles.
Optimisation of mule, Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV) vehicle quantities.
To manage the assembly and instrumentation of the mule and DV vehicles, making use of: Unit Under Test (UUT) subject teams, mechanical integration, electrical integration and vehicle integration.
To support the plant in building PV vehicles:
Defining the End of Line vehicle tests for production assembly.
To coordinate and prioritise the use of test vehicles.
To design the vehicle tests, test instrumentation and to monitor the test execution by the Test Facility.

Skills Required:: |
• Technical qualification with at least 10 years relevant automotive experience.
• Maintenance / product support engineering experience essential.
• Ability to identify, coordinate and manage the contributors to the ASS subject.
• Ability to communicate and represent the ASS subject to the Project Manager.
• Ability to solve technical and organisational conflicts within the ASS subject.
