| Job Description: |
The job is on a consultancy basis. Candidates should be based in Western Canada (preferably in Alberta), able to legally work in Canada and willing to work in remote areas.
Microscopic work
Responsibilities:
Responsible for wellsite geological supervision in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, including:
* Cuttings samples description and interpretation;
* Mudlogging (total gas) supervision;
* MWD and geo steering supervision;
* Wireline logging supervision and interpretation.

Skills Required:: |
* Bachelors degree or technical degree in Geology or other related earth science;
* Industry certification/training (WHIMS, H2S Alive, First Aid);
* Valid Alberta Class 5 drivers license or equivalent;
* Minimum 3 years experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin;
* Experience with clastic and carbonate lithology;
* Good knowledge of all drilling rig operations;
* Horizontal well experience is an asset;
* Good computer skills, including striplog software and Office suite.
