| Job Description: |
Our client is looking for a Online Editorial Team Leader who is fluent in German and English to be responsible for all English and German texts on their website. You will build and lead a team of Online Editors, translators and freelancers to deliver high quality text and articles covering a wide array of use cases, including web interfaces, guides, news pieces and mailings.
Many of your results will be translated to all our 15 languages and so be read by our world-wide community of more than 2,000,000 poker players. Reflecting the importance of your position, you closely work with our Product Development and Community Management departments on a daily basis.
Your Responsibilities
• Building & leading a smalll team of full-time and freelance Online Editors
• Responsibility for all German and English textual content
• Develop guidelines and processes on how all languages of the company can maintain a high editorial standard
• Creation of, and adherence to deadlines and plans for translation tasks in tight time lines
Types of text content include:
• German and English news sections, each delivering more than 40 news pieces per week
• Newsletters and other automated mailings
• Guides & User Interfaces

• Professional experience as an Online Editor
• Perfect written and spoken German and English
• Team leading experience
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• An enjoyment of teamwork and open communications
• Adherence to format specifications and other standards
• A pronounced sense of responsibility and target orientation
• The ability to grasp new topics quickly and explain complex issues and interrelated topics in written form
• Working knowledge of HTML for the formatting of texts
