Responsibilities:
Manage large distributed testing teams, typically employing Test Leads to oversee sub-teams
Strategize and plan for testing activities at an organizational level
Conduct cost-benefits analyses and formulate recommendations in ROI terms
Provide direction to teams on quality, quality measurement and process guidelines
Coordinate with various departments for the smooth running of testing projects
Orchestrate activities of multiple testing teams that share resources (e.g., test environments) to ensure that synergies are leveraged and conflicts are avoided
Review and evaluate the business system as a whole
Review test estimates and schedules prepared by Test Leads for completeness and correctness, or prepare them on his own
Customize organizational standard QA process and implement it in projects
Identify meaningful metrics for testing, establish metrics program and use collected metrics information for decision-making
Mitigate risks and issues escalated by testing team, Test Leads or other stakeholders
Facilitate Root Cause Analysis at organization level
Champion and establish a continuous improvement approach at project and organizational level
Manage client relations at the account level |
Skills Required:: |
Functional Skills and Background:
Proven experience in leading testing projects
Ability to provide detailed and accurate status reports on the testing teams work to the stakeholders
Run effective status meetings with team
Knowledge of basic project management principles, tools, and techniques, in theory and practice
Ability to provide constructive feedback to members of team, informally and in performance reviews
Experience in formal estimation techniques
Skilled in managing large distributed teams in an outsourced scenario
Strong in testing principles and processes at a master level
Strong domain knowledge
