Job Description:
Lead and manage all Afghanistan Business Development initiatives
Develop and cultivate relationships with prime contractors / Identify, evaluate, develop and profile new business opportunities and clients within Afghanistan
Identify areas of sales expansion and revenue development over the short, medium and long term
Promote and expand the market share of the company by attending and participating in related meetings, conferences, etc.
Provide presentations / quotations to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls, emails, etc.
Plan and recommend business and marketing strategies
Conduct periodic reviews to determine effectiveness of competitive efforts and degree of achievement of goals
Develop strategic alliances with International Companies with the objective to strengthen the companys chances of pre-qualifying and succeeding in winning new contracts
Develop and maintain database of new tenders, opportunities and clients within the region and ensure that the company is registered / pre-qualified
Write efficient commercial business proposals/Quotes to new and existing businesses, to capture market share
Develop and build relationships with key personnel from existing and new clients
Communicate and liaise with 3rd party businesses, i.e. Supply chain, Freight handling, Etc

Afghani American origin (Preference but not a requirement)
Must be willing to work in Afghanistan as he will be based in Afghanistan
Must be fluent in English.
Able to work with locals and preferably speak one of the local languages
A minimum of 5 years Business Development experience dealing with prime contractors, preferably 2 of which in a related field.
University graduates preferred
US Military or US Defense Contractor background is preferred
Previous experience in establishing contacts within the Military community / Prior military program acquisition experience is preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills
Computer literate with Microsoft Office
