Role:
1. The Systems Manager shall be an IT or Electrical Engineer experienced in Hospital Systems Design and the coordination of engineering, architectural and equipment systems requirements. As part of the Design Team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring Contractors compliance with the design of the technology and systems and related bid packages.
2. The Systems Manager will focus on global issues related to the technology and systems design in order to ensure a quality end product in conformance with the contract documents.
3. The Systems Manager and staff will review SD/DD/IFC Documentation to assess coordination with packages such as Medical Equipment, Clinical Designs, IT and Architectural / Engineering for systems and clinical integration.
4. The Systems Manager will assist the design manager and MEP in preparing variations and change requests orders and coordinating variation orders for other trades to ensure the design satisfies the clients / End Users. You will also be responsible for dealing with the contractor submissions and approvals in coordination with the MEP manager who will be responsible for each bid package. The Tasks will include specialist review of shop drawings, material submissions, RFI’s and method statements etc…submitted by contractor.
5. The System manager and staff will work closely with the client and clinical users to ensure a smooth process of approvals in order not to delay the project.
6. Responsibilities include developing protocols for cross checking of all visible MEP Medical Equipment and technology items to confirm the design, documentation and construction of the project and cross check MEP drawings to confirm that the design and
Construction complies with the technology requirements, codes, standards and tender contract documentation and approved shop drawings and submittals.
7. Inspections of the construction of permanent works will be carried out to ensure compliance with the tender contract documents and approved shop drawings and submittals. You will also assist with the inspection of completed works. Help prepare punch lists. Monitor the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the works.
Review Systems as buit drawings and O & M Manuals. Ensure that the contract warranties and guarantees, spare parts requirements etc…are met by the contractor. Monitor progress of outstanding architectural works, punch lists etc…
The Systems Manager must be familiar with relevant codes and authorities such as JHACO, AIA, etc…
