Account Manager, Manufacturing
You will be responsible for designated global and strategic accounts and should be managed accordingly.
Your specific responsibilities include the following:
Summary description of position
Your role will be to:
build strong relationships with the client at senior executive levels. You will be able to create strong business relations between The client and the account at senior levels
develop and drive a focussed strategy towards the account by knowing the account, the market segment, and the The client offerings and delivery capabilities. You will then translate the chosen strategy into an action plan in line with an Account Plan
create and or update the Account plan
maximise revenue, order intake and profit growth for the account, in accordance with agreed targets
lead the account team from a strategic level and execute agreed plans with the team
report progress to the relevant Line Manager and to others (where appropriate) at monthly intervals and in accordance with the agreed procedures
ensure the desired position and market share, as set in the objectives, are achieved through the use of consistent messages in every aspect of the account relationship maintenance and development on all appropriate levels
work closely with other groups within The client, in order to leverage the group`s key offerings and propositions, references and partnerships and jointly develop and review account plans
encourage pro-active involvement by the appropriate senior management of The client, so as to maximise success.
Key responsibilities
Specific responsibilities are to:
Account relationships
develop relationships with the account at all management levels
organise and manage the involvement of The client senior management for the account in line with any existing executive sponsorship procedure
act as primary focal point for the contact with account by other parts of The client
Account strategy
develop and maintain the The client objectives and strategy for the account in close cooperation with the European Account team
achieve the objectives set for the account, such as desired marketplace position, market share, revenue, order intake and profit growth
understand the accounts business issues, strategies and capabilities and to communicate these internally in The client at various levels
define and drive the The client`s strategy for alliances and partnerships within the account
create and maintain the account development plan for the account and to ensure this plan is well anchored, accepted and communicated within The client and the account
Business development
qualify and drive the opportunities in the account
manage, together with the commercial department, the prime negotiation processes in the account
oversee the bid process for key strategic or international opportunities
report about the progress of account development following the agreed procedures
Account delivery and customer satisfaction
maximise our effort to deliver the agreed services and products to the account and ensure the correct billing and account receivable status
ensure that customer satisfaction is maximised and that any complaints are properly handled
be aware of all issues and problems in the account and to manage the actions to resolve these
be involved in and monitor all major projects for the account.
Consultancy
Work closely with the customers to provide pre-sales consulting for the solutions which the company is offering.
The person in this role is expected to provide detailed domain knowledge of the proposed solution from a customer-focused perspective and demonstrate good understanding of the customers business issues and processes
Good knowledge of end to end SAP solutions & services
The role will include internal and customer presentations, requirements gathering, some architecting and handover of successful bids to the delivery team.
Specific core and key competencies required:
Good experience and participation in customer projects or within existing large group of companies in the market segment of Manufacturing:
o strategic business consultancy role defining and mapping key business process, business case studies, solution workshop and user requirements for an IT solution in the focus market segment described above OR
o solution architecture and design of such solutions
Good existing network with strong knowledge and some relationship in place of personnel in the manufacturing segment in Singapore or the region.
Reporting
You will report directly to Chief Executive Officer, Asia. Depending on the Account you may also report directly to a Global Account Director
You will keep your Line Manager and Global Account Director fully informed of plans and progress and work with them in preparing plans and strategies.
You will gain the approval from your Line Manager and Global Account Director for the account development plan and you will review the effectiveness of this plan at bi- monthly intervals with him/her.
You will produce an account report on monthly intervals, in the agreed format, and circulate and discuss it with your Line Manager.
