Senior Technical Lead (DTP)
Education/Experience:
Major in Printing, Computer Science or Engineering, Bachelor Degree or above
5 years + DTP working experience
1 years+ team lead skills
Job and Responsibilities:
Owning/defining/following and improving DTP processes and guidelines
Leading client-focused (internal and external) production efforts.
Reporting on status of active DTP projects
Scheduling tasks and assigning appropriate resources to meet the milestones
Ensuring the quality of the project delivery
Providing support, guidance and training to local and global engineering teams
Working with development team to improve processes and productivity
Evaluating new DTP tools and technologies
Presenting and deploying technical solutions to clients
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Good understanding of the DTP process and technology trend from the client perspective
Prior experience in DTP and Printing field
Clear and concise communication and presentation skills in Mandarin Chinese and English
Effective project/resource management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Comfort with matrix management and with virtual teams
Ability to work on big-picture issues while keeping an eye on technical details
Strong ability on quality management control and assurance
Experience managing multiple projects
Strong time management, organizational and support skills
Excellent knowledge of the main localization industry tools and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Rich knowledge on following tools:
??FrameMaker, Indesgin, QuarkXpress, MS Word/Powerpoint, PageMaker etc.
??PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash or other graphics & multimedia Software.
??Trados, Catalyst and other applications.
Development and scripting experience is a plus
