Service Manger
An International, capital equipment manufacturing company with headquarters located in the mid west is seeking to hire a Service Manager. The individual selected will be accustomed to working in fast-paced environments, very team-oriented, outgoing, well spoken, professional and operations focused. The best-suited candidate will be someone who is presently working or has previously worked in “food-processing, dairy and/or liquid/beverage” industries in addition to someone with exceptional customer service leadership qualities, possessing strong knowledge and understanding of capital equipment business and technical capabilities to match.
This position supports the company’s new start up division and requires domestic and international traveling (under 30%). Position reports to the Director of Technology.
Primary Role/Responsibilities:
This position will oversee total customer service areas to meet the industry needs.
Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Schedule all outside service personnel to handle all installations and customer service requests
• Develop and implement comprehensive training program for all company parts and service personnel
• Develop service contract program that allows our company to become a more integral part of our customers operations while increasing parts revenue
• Oversee feedback from service group to manufacturing and engineering as it relates to quality and performance issues
• Generate regular service bulletin program to our worldwide customer base
• Review parts pricing versus competition and make recommendations to upper management on an ongoing pricing strategy by products
• Develop and oversee a team to ultimately reduce the installation and start-up times across companies’ product line
• Coordinate regular service schools and training programs for our customer base
• Ensure customer acceptance of machine in a timely manner after new equipment installations

Skills Required:: |
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Associates degree or Trade school completion
• 5 years experience in a technically oriented position
• Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of capital equipment and food-processing/agricultural industries
• Customer service-oriented
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• 30% travel both Domestically and Internationally
• Multi-lingual skills preferred
