A company specialising in Pipes & Irrigation based in Botswana has grown leaps and bounds during the years since its inception. It is now one of the leading manufactures of uPVC Pipes and Rotomoulded Products in Southern Africa having a turnover of more than BWP 45 million. The company manufactures ring and plain socket pipes for water and sewer reticulation to supply in Botswana and for exporting to South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola and Tanzania. The new projects of Rotational Moulding and HDPE Pipes have started commercial production.
The logistic manager will handle processes involved in the supply chain, liaising with a variety of parties including suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, retailers and consumers. This will be a two-way process with return of goods. He will be at the interface of the Production and Sales department and will work closely with both their managers
The right candidate will be in charge to coordinate processes to ensure customer satisfaction. An awareness of and strategic response to external influences, such as legislation, fuel costs and environmental pressures, is vital.
The candidate must be familiar with all the rules and legislations that may involve international transportation, stock control, warehousing, and ensure that structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials. A large amount of goods are shipped to South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola and Tanzania.

„X monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of irrigation and plumping goods;
„X coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems;
„X analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand;
„X allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs;
„X liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers;
„X developing business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
„X implementing health and safety procedures;
„X managing staff training issues;
„X motivating other members of the team;
„X project management;
„X setting objectives
At least 3 years experience in Irrigation systems and plumping is required
