My client is a part of the Product Identification Platform of a Group which is one world-leading manufacturer of coding equipments, printing and laser marking products, fluids, and accessories for the product identification industry, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, printing and mailing service markets etc. It is a part of group, with global revenue of several billion $. It is part of a global company which has 50,000 offices in the world, 3000 of which are in UK and 20,000 in Europe.
It is headquartered in US IL and having its presence more than 100 countries and having strong direct and distribution network worldwide.
They have direct operations worldwide, including Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, The Netherlands, Portugal, Russian, Singapore, Spain and the United Kingdom, with more than 250 direct sales and service personnel in the United States alone. Their distribution network includes over 175 distributors and OEMs.
Due to constant market demand, my client is looking to recruit an experienced Plant Manager.
Role Description
Position: Plant Manager
Location: DeMeern, Holland
Salary: Highly Competitive market rates!!
Purpose of the position:
This position is responsible for site operations at DeMeern and includes manufacturing, quality, materials and customer service.
The Challenge/Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility responsibility to ensure a safe working environment and regulatory compliance to health, safety, environmental and labor legislation.
2. Responsibility for product quality of all fluids, parts and goods manufactured and shipped from the DeMeern facility.
3. Responsibility for meeting customer service level expectations including on time delivery and lead time requirements.
4. Responsibility for total site costs including variable OH, fixed OH, OCOS and working capital
Key Requirements
1. Background in a process manufacturing and distribution environment (with a technical background in Engineering, Chemistry or Operations).
2. Supervisory and management responsibility - must be able to demonstrate effective management of people at multiple levels.
3. Experience with work councils, labor laws and regulatory/permit/safety laws - important to be able to communicate in Dutch. Operational experience in managing operations in autonomous plants.
4. Must be able to demonstrate experience of financial control and analysis. Financial acumen. Knowledge of budgetary processes and profit and loss accounts.
5. Experience with lean tools.
6. Education: HBO/TH level (ing/lr.) direction technical (preferable)
7. Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of operations experience preferably in a chemical, food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic industry.
8. Fluent in English and must be able to effectively communicate in the Dutch language.
