Our client is searching for an Underwriting Manager to join this well established insurance company. You will be required to work on the following areas:
Client Servicing
In conjunction with the client service team, to be responsible for the provision of insurance underwriting and claims management services to a portfolio of captive insurance companies.
These responsibilities to include:-
1.1 to ensure client work is accurate and prepared to external (client) and internal management review, deadlines and quality control / compliance standards.
1.2 Policy administration, invoicing and premium collection. Preparation and review of policy documentation.
1.3 Co-ordination of claims administrators, claims recording and reporting.
1.4 Production of insurance technical account information.
1.5 Preparation of underwriting reports and management information as required by the client company’s Board.
1.6 Taking minutes of client meetings
1.7 Liaison with insurance and reinsurance brokers as required.
1.8 Liaison with Accounting Manager to manage day to day cash requirements.
1.9 Co-ordination of Board meetings. Attendance and presentation of information at client Board meetings.
Compliance
Understanding and application of all aspects of the Key Compliance documents to their area of work; Bill of Rights, Excellence Model, etc.
Evidence of good numerical ability within a higher education background with ACII or committed progress towards completion.
3+ years experience in any insurance or claims related sector. Competent understanding of all classes of cover and commercial insurance portfolios.
