Our client is searching for an IT Technician whose main duties are:
„X Provide end user support to the staff in the Gibraltar office and other locations, in terms of technical support, software support and other IT related issues, including but not limited to, Blackberry, Laptop, and PDA support issues. This may require some out of hours support to members of staff working in other time zones and locations, via telephone/fax and email.
„X Responsible for maintaining internal network, providing infrastructure support, connectivity issue analysis and installation of future upgrades.
„X Provide user support to offices and staff at outside locations, using the current Cisco VPN setup.
„X Responsible for the maintenance and development of the Intranet and company website.
„X Maintain and enhance the current security and access permissions on the network, in accordance to standard User and Workgroup provisions within Active Directory.
„X Disaster Recovery
„X Perform daily, weekly, monthly and yearly server backups.
„X Provide detailed IT support for the PC systems, from diagnosing simple user issues, to replacing whole PC systems, within an acceptable time.
„X Management of renewal / replacement of hardware and software.
„X Maintain and confirm all PCs are running latest service packs, virus definitions, and security patches.
„X Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of email monitoring tools, in relation to incoming spam, outgoing and incoming inappropriate emails, and virus scanning engine update definitions. Exact reporting requirements to be discussed.
„X Be able to provide visiting staff members with the appropriate IT resources as required.
„X And any other such reasonable requests that your employer may have from time to time.
Person Specification:
„X Qualified to at least BTEC National Diploma or equivalent in an IT related field.
„X Experience in ASP, HTML, server side scripting, client side scripting (JAVA Script, Visual Basic Script)
„X Experience in the Administration of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
