| Job Description: |
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for the coordination and execution of activities involved in the evaluation, development and improvement of the suppliers within the assigned Supplier Commodities, working closely with supply managers and technical resources.
The key responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer are:
Commodity Responsibilities
•Interact with suppliers to assure that all CMC quality requirements are being met.
•Participate in Commodity teams for improvement initiatives, management of change and other assignments as required.
•Participate in commercialization teams in the selection/evaluation of new suppliers and specifications.
•Work closely with other organizations within CMC to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements.
Supplier Audits/Evaluations
•Evaluate Supplier performance based on both Service and Product Performance.
•Perform audits and evaluations of Suppliers Quality Systems.
•Conduct process audits or other evaluations as needed based upon supplier performance.
•Gather and disseminate information for Supplier Report Cards.

Skills Required:: |
Position Requirements Technical
Must have a solid understanding of continuous improvement methods, problem solving techniques, statistics for process control, and design of experiments. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable, as well as an understanding of Quality Systems and Auditing. Six Sigma certification is preferred.
Business
Problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, good organizational skills, experience in giving external presentations, effective communication skills with the ability to communicate to personnel at all levels; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, excellent record keeping skills, possess a sense of urgency in satisfying internal and external customer needs
Computer
Advanced – experience with databases and Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
Experience – Five plus years of Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering experience. Two plus years of supplier or customer interaction preferred. Experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, automotive, or high tech industry a plus.
Travel – 20-30%
Educational Requirements B.S. In Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials Science), or equivalent.
