| Job Description: |
The Pads Process Engineer candidate must be able to operate in a changing environment in an effort to meet aggressive, yet attainable, operational goals and objectives to improve product cost, quality, process robustness and consistency. The position will support the commercialization and technology transfer of CMC’s advanced Pads product line.
The key responsibilities of the Pads Process Engineer are:
• Collaborate closely with the Pads R&D, Business and Operations teams to ensure our business plan is executed fully and on-target.
• Partner in new product development to establish the parameters for a viable commercial process, while meeting needs of customers and prospects.
• Provide engineering innovation and direction for the introduction of products and processes from startup through production.
• Create and document new processes, ultimately providing and coordinating training to enable consistent execution of manufacturing processes.
• Design, install and commission customized production equipment to support the needs of the business.
• Proactively identify and eliminate sources of variation to improve product quality, consistency and yields.
• Help drive root cause/corrective action effort for product issues.
• Drive project management including management of project resources, budget and deliverables. This includes coordination and accountability for execution of projects, managing issues to resolution and ensuring quality of deliverables
• Identify and implement improvements in environmental, health, and safety areas. |
Skills Required:: |
Position Requirements Technical
Strong background in industrial product/process development. Documented track record of problem-solving and ability to work on a breadth of technical problems. Expertise in statistical design of experiments and data analysis preferred. A critical thinker and confident problem solver with expertise in troubleshooting experience. Six-sigma experience a plus. A fundamental understanding of the semiconductor industry/CMP is preferred.

Outstanding planning, prioritizing, goal setting, and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience
Eight years minimum work experience in an engineering or production-oriented atmosphere with a track record of innovation and problem solving. Preferred: Experience in cross-functional teams, with demonstrated effectiveness, as well as experience with quality systems, process control systems, manufacturing and operations metrics. Experience in serving the semiconductor or electronics industry preferred.
Computer
Advanced; experienced with databases and Microsoft Windows.
Travel – 10%
Educational Requirements B.S. degree in Engineering or other technically related field. Advanced degree preferred.
