| Job Description: |
We are looking to hire an Asphalt Manager for our Group of companies based in Kingdom of Bahrain as per following job description:
Duties:
•over all in-charge for the administration and operation of the Asphalt Division.
•Over all supervision & control of production, delivery of asphalt, designing and testing including road construction.
•Monitoring of Production and Quality Control.
•Review methodology, activity planning, and make schedules for project implementation.
•Monitoring of Asphalt plant and equipments therein, including laboratory equipments and apparatus.
•Marketing and establish relation with clients, PWA and other government agencies.
•Make Details on marketing plans and follow-up proposed projects.
•Check, discuss and review the estimated quotation and cost proposals.
•Manage and monitor the operation & training for safety of batchers, laboratory staff and all asphalt personnel.
•Monitor the sufficiency, availability and quality of raw materials to meet the daily requirements.
•Coordinate to the Account Department for costing, inventory and invoicing.
•Coordinate to the Central store the availability of spare parts for all asphalt equipments and other requirements.
•Manage, monitor and evaluate all asphalt personnel for their daily, weekly and monthly workmanship and performance.
•Evaluate the production methods & instigate methods idea’s procedures.
•Ensure that operational Costs are kept to Minimum.
•Directly involved in the company grievance and disciplinary procedures.
•Administer recruitment procedure including job description.
•Handles crises and difficult business relation situations to ensure that they do not get in the way of the company achieving its objectives in coordination with respective department’s Head and superior.
•Monitors staff attendance record and produces quarterly summary report to management.
•Enhance the company to be active member of the community.
•Ensure that the Administration policies and guidelines are adhered to and strictly followed.
•Ensure that Building meets all the safety and fire safety fighting requirements requested by respective Civil Defense Directorate, Municipality and other local authorities.
•Prepare contingency and disaster recovery plans.
•Identify and implement productivity and efficiency improvement and cost reduction for the company.
•To ensure that the staff under his/her supervision are motivated and empowered to perform their duties so that the company objectives are achieved.
•Follow up on any duties as assigned by the management.

Shall be accountable to the General Manager for the overall performance of the Division in terms of:

•Quality of work standards
•Health and safety standards
•Staff moral and productivity
Skills And Abilities
•knowledge of tendering & contract processes
•Proven skills in business and financial management
•Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
•Demonstrated ability to manage a team
•Knowledge of ISO legislation and ability to advise and run staff ISO briefings
•Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations
•Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
•Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
