    Employment History:

    Alex Picot & Co. Chartered Accountants (1987 – 1990)

Employed initially as an Audit Junior and latterly as Audit Senior.

My duties included being part of the Audit Team at both junior and senior level, working on a wide variety of local clients including the three largest quoted companies in the Channel Islands.

Whilst working as Audit Senior I was responsible for the supervision of groups of up to four junior staff which included the allocation and review of their work prior to final review by the Audit Manager and Partner.

I was also responsible for the preparation of final accounts from records submitted by a wide variety of local trading companies, partnerships and sole traders and the preparation of the appropriate tax returns (subject to approval by the relevant Partner).

Reason for leaving: To broaden my experience in the Financial Services Industry and gain exposure to new areas.

Graeme Le Rossignol & Co. Chartered Accountants (1990-1990)

I was employed in the accounts preparation section and prepared final accounts from prime books of record, including incomplete records, together with preparation of the appropriate tax returns. I reported directly to the Partners.

Reason for leaving: The Senior Partner terminated my employment after having seen me out when I had called in sick.

    DFM Consultants Limited (1990-1998)

I was employed initially as an accountant, however within a short space of time I was working directly with the Managing Director and gained extensive exposure to trust and company administration, UK and foreign tax issues.

My duties included administration of a wide variety of entities both trusts and companies, the timely filing of appropriate returns such as annual returns and tax returns.

I dealt directly with clients, their professional advisers, bankers and relevant authorities both face to face and in writing without direct supervision.

I was a Director of a small number of companies under administration and acted as signatory to a number of bank accounts.

I was seen as the senior employee and as such deputised for the Managing Director in his absence, which was for long periods at a time.

Reason for leaving: My position became untenable when the Managing Director was convicted and imprisoned for conspiracy to cheat the Inland Revenue, the case being of particular relevance to the Offshore Finance Industry (Re v. Dimsey).

    Volaw Trust & Corporate Services Limited (1998 – 1999)

Due to leaving DFM under the circumstances outlined above I took the role of Senior Accounts Preparation Clerk reporting directly to the Accounts Manager, which involved the preparation of accounts for all entities under administration, this role encompassed both financial accounting and also management reporting for large international companies.

Reason for leaving: The job was taken as a quick solution to my immediate employment needs and although I enjoyed working for this company I wanted to return to a client facing administration role. My reason for leaving was understood by the Management and we parted on amicable terms.

    Centurion Management Services Limited (1999 – 2004)

I took the position of Senior Trust Administrator and reported directly to the Directors.

My duties were the general administration of a portfolio of diverse entities; I dealt directly with clients, professional advisers, stockbrokers, bankers and relevant authorities, both local and international with minimum supervision.

I also dealt with the accounts preparation and completion of UK tax returns for my own clients and also those of the other administrators; I was also responsible for the supervision of junior staff.

Aside from the client administration I was responsible for the preparation of break-even, NPV analysis and business plans for various capital projects which formed part of the overall strategic decision making process for the Centurion Group.

I was also responsible for the identification, verification and implementation of new financial products, structures and jurisdictions for the benefit of clients.

Reason for leaving: The retirement of one of the major shareholders and Directors led to the appointment of a new Managing Director which created a fundamental change in the internal politics of the Centurion Group which I was unhappy working under.

    Volaw Trust & Corporate Services Limited (2004 – 2005)

After leaving Centurion I was approached by the Directors of Volaw and asked if I would consider working there again in the position of Team Leader in the private client department, which I accepted.

I was responsible for a portfolio of large, very active complex structures, together with the overall responsibility of a group of four administrators.

Responsibilities included the checking and reviewing of junior members of staff’s work, ensuring tasks were completed in a timely and accurate manner, leading weekly team meetings and ensuring internal and external regulatory procedures were followed.

I was the point of contact between the administrators and management and dealt extensively with both.

I was involved in meetings with clients, banks, advisors, intermediaries and regulators.

I was signatory to the underlying client bank accounts.

Reason for leaving: Having worked in a trust environment for some fifteen years, I decided to spend some time doing short-term contracts.

    Thomas & Dessain (Agency) (2005 – 2006)

I was contracted to Stirling Trustees Limited to cover trust administration whilst permanent members of staff were ill or on holiday. The duties included all aspects of trust and company administration at a senior level with minimal supervision. I reported directly to the Trust Manager and Directors.

Reason for leaving: The fixed term contract ended.

I was then contracted to Pinnacle Trustees Limited for a period of three months to prepare trust and company accounts and conduct investment reviews, I reported directly to the Directors.

Reason for leaving: The fixed term contract ended.

I was then contracted to New World Trustees (Jersey) Limited covering the duties and responsibilities of the Senior Trust Officer whilst she was on maternity leave.

The duties included general trust and company administration of a varied portfolio, the supervision of a team of four junior staff. I reported directly to the Directors.

New World Trustees (Jersey) Limited (2006 – 2008)

At the end of my fixed term contract I was offered a permanent position of Senior Trust Officer responsible for a team of four. I dealt with the administration of a managed Trust Company dealing specifically with very high net worth and politically exposed Middle Eastern clients and I oversaw the administration of a second managed Trust Company within my team together with the general client portfolios within the team.

I attended regular management meetings and was involved with the design and implementation of new procedures. I also dealt with the interviewing and hiring of staff and dealt with Compliance and Regulatory issues. I reported to the Directors.

I was signatory to both underlying client bank accounts and also those of New World.

Reason for leaving: I decided to return to contract work with a view to obtaining a permanent or long term contract position in a new jurisdiction.

    Thomas & Dessain (2008 – Date)
