Owner & Client: The owners of the project are the British, "British Petroleum" and "Sonatrach", which is one of the most important Algerian government’s companies and the main client is M/s Jgc/ Kbr " Japan Gas Company"/"Kellogg Brown and Root", a US company.
Roles & Responsibilities Included: Nature of work and responsibilities included:
• To work as the interpreter during meetings and other seminars.
• To interpret the safety training sessions for expatriates.
• To interpret the various documents coming in from M/S JGC/ KBR.
• Translation of the technical documents for the construction managers.
• Interacting with the Americans and British in translating their conversations and the gist of the topics to the Italians.
• Working as the translator for all the three sites: Teg, Reg and Krechba.
• Assisting the HSE department and helping with various preventive and cautionary activities on camp and site.
• Assisting the HSE department in the weekly safety walk inspections and preparing the reference reports for the non-English speaking personnel.

Roles & Responsibilities Included: Nature of work and responsibilities included:
• Daily flight bookings for Filipinos and expatriates to/from TEG, REG, Krechba, HMD and HRM.
• Travel requests for the locals going on days off.
• Weekly working timesheets preparation for locals and Filipinos.
• Translating various documents and memos upon request from the construction managers for their reference or for the subcontractors’ reference.
• Translations during meetings with subcontractors and during safety stand down meetings.
• Providing help and support for the HSE department in terms of statistics reports preparation and distribution.
• Working in a close collaboration with the camp boss on all camp’s related issues and concerns with regards to accommodations, catering and social matters.
• Working in a close collaboration with the OLC / guards with regards to any base related security issues, flight bookings, visitors and personnel arrivals and departures.

To 29th February 2004: Working as a full time HSE administrator under the JGC/KBR HSE department.
Roles & Responsibilities Included: Nature of work and responsibilities included:
• In charge of all the HSE related administrative duties and paper work.
• Working out weekly HSE combined reports for the managers’ reference and distribution, which reflect the whole week’s HSE related activities, performances, inspections and statistics with regards to inputs and outputs.
• Work with the subcontractors’ HSE supervisors and mangers to get all HSE related paperwork, statistics and performances worked out and recorded on a timely manner.
• Help the subcontractors with the translation of the various HSE memos, communications, letters and any other documents in order to help them understand the gist of those communicated documents.
• Attend the weekly HSE meetings and other safety stand down HSE meetings with JK’s management and subcontractors, take notes and prepare the minutes of meetings for the managers and subcontractors’ reference.
• Help in translating for the subcontractors’ HSE representatives and managers during the Bi-Monthly Safety Committee Meetings, Stand Down Meetings and any other Safety Meetings.
• Help the field HSE supervisors and managers in providing them with different field needed HSE signage, posters and different safety presentations.
• Be in charge and manage all HSE department related issues whenever the site HSE manager is on leave.

• Perform Safety induction trainings for new personnel joining the JV and visitors.
• Provide Safety Observation Training for personnel in order to introduce them to the Safety Observation process and participate in eliminating hazardous situations in the base / on site and eliminate accidents by making Safety Observations where appropriate.
• Perform advanced safety audits and ensure hazardous situations and behaviors are eliminated before resulting in accidents.
• Participate in the Safety Observation program, thus contribute to hazards’ elimination and minimization inside the base and contribute to accidents’ elimination.
• Work with the HSE team in the development and maintenance of an effective Induction program for new HSE staff.
• Monthly Safety Posters – French and English and regular Safety Matrix update.

Assisting the In Salah & In Amenas Wells Team members in a number of areas as follows:
• Prepares initial inputs and maintains the Drilling Information Management System (DIMS) database for individual wells.
• Prepares well bore schematics, spreadsheets, charts, and other technical documentation for well programs and reports.
• Coordinates daily cost tracking and reconciliation to allow the Wells Team to manage costs within predetermined targets.
• Supports the Senior Drilling Engineer in coordinating all financial information and reporting associated with planning.
• Execution and closing out of the well operations.
• Sets up and maintains Wells Teams local filing system, including hardcopy well records.
• Assists Wells Team in recording and reporting of performance measures, including scorecard maintenance, benchmarking and key performance indicators.
