Actually, I¡¦m acting as Document Control Manager within French Company Named ALSTOM. I had to work as Head Document Control Department since February 2006 to January 31st, 2008 with Brown & Root-Condor. I joined this company since October 1995. My Background includes over 18 years of experience in oil & gas and Infrastructure projects.
My duties are setting up and implementing Project Document Control Filing System. Maintain company¡¦s document management database. I¡¦m administrator EDMS Software Documentum platform and McLaren Enterprise Engineer Applications. Develop EDMS system and procedures. I¡¦m Using Advitium database; specific to ALSTOM transport.
I manage document record flows for correspondence, drawings, change documents and other technical submittal and comments. Supervise the implementation and maintenance of EDMS system. Perform the set up tasks for project documentation procedures and functions. Implement and maintains the approved policies, procedures and systems of the project document control system. Ensure the timely turn around of documentation issued internally or received externally (suppliers or subcontractors). Receive incoming & Issue documents and drawings in a controlled manner, using DM database, within agreed time-scales. Prepare and administer agreed distribution matrices. Prepare project documentation close out of projects, hard copy & electronically and also the project documentation for archives. Ensure that the Final Documentation and Documentation for Operations at the various project milestones is handed-over/available from the Project Management Team to Expansion Start-up Team of the Operating Company.
Train and supervise lower level Document Controller.
Proficient in computer software packages, including EDMS, MS Office, Windows XP and Lotus notes 6.5

The aim of the Documentum project within the BRC Algiers office was to implement a document management system. Once implemented, the system enabled the coordination of changes and availability of business-critical documents on a company wide basis and provides automated control of documents through their lifecycles - from initial creation to final archiving.
The project team has successfully deployed the Electronic Document Management Solution (EDMS) based on the McLaren¡¦s Enterprise Engineer suite of products and Documentum platform for the content repository.
My duties as Project administrator are:
„Ï Preparing and maintaining the Project Plan (or Project Execution Plan), Stage
„Ï Managing project administration
„Ï Preparing any follow-on action recommendations as required
„Ï Working closely with IT and business departments to formulate and implement the systems strategy for Electronic Document Management using Documentum and McLaren Applications.
„Ï In the administrator role: Administering the EDMS system, help train users within the various user communities.
