| Objective and Resume Summary: |
|
Due to my prior service in the US Army when I enlisted in the USAF in 1981, I was given the rank E-4 Sargent. Although I had only a high school education at that time, when I was honorably discharged in 1992 it was as an O-3 Captain with a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida. I excel in most any environment and come alive to master the challenge of a demanding environment.
My employment objective is to be given a challenging position and mastering it. I seek a position that will take advantage of my wide breadth of experience, skills, and knowledge. Preferably a position with a large international corporation that has a convertible top; although a small company may offer too interesting a challenge that I may find hard to refuse.

Sept 2000 – present Living in Argentina
For the most part I designed, installed, and maintained small networks of twenty computers or less usually as a one man job; that is I did it all from physically installing and placing the hardware to installing all the software, and instructing the clients to use the system. Such networks used 10/100 Ethernet with wireless routers for a few notebooks and workstations. Servers mostly made use of Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Linux Red hat 9; and workstations with everything from Windows 3.1 to Windows XP, and many varieties of Linux. The most challenging engagement and highlight of my professional activity was troubleshooting the network configuration of an ISP whose service was faltering and bandwidth jammed. They asked for my help after over a month of faltering service with no identification as to the cause. I promised a solution in two days and delivered it near the deadline. A simple subnet reconfiguration resolved the problem.
