I am currently a Singaporean residing in Shanghai. I have just graduated from Fudan University with a Degree in Museum Studies. My objective is to upgrade and gain experience that are valuable and good to access myself into working in the museum or arts auction industry one day.
Before arriving here in Shanghai, I served 3 years in National Service in the Army for 3 years. Prior to that, I took a Diploma in Information Studies from Tamasek Polytechnic in Singapore. The Diploma has trained me in skills needed in archives, libraries, conservatories, as well as museums. It is a well rounded education in which we are exposed to the needs of Knowledge and Records Management.
Because I have just graduated, I am looking for a versatile job experience in which I can bring values to the community I live with. I believe in the fact that life should not be always a rat race where one has to be racing forward to accumulate riches, but to give back to the society or improve the situation of people, or to enlighten people that there is something out there bigger than the world most people see.
During my 5 years here in Shanghai, I am satisfied knowing that the Museum Studies degree I took up in Fudan University will be useful in my career path. I had also worked as a Special Hand Carry Logistics Courier, delivering important shipments overseas to various parts of the world, which I enjoyed very much. In my spare time, I found enjoyment in photography and traveling.
