The HELB is looking to recruit a highly trained and experienced Security officer for and I would like to make a case for myself.
My expertise has successfully been deployed in government as a Senior intelligence officer (SIO II) for the National security Intelligence Service and as an investigator and technical services officer(TSO III) for the Kenya anti corruption commission. During my time at the NSIS I was posted in the operations Division that is charged with the responsibility of collecting and analyzing security information and advising the government accordingly. I have also had opportunity to help several departments and units inside and outside government to prepare security policies and disaster preparedness policies after carrying out extensive security surveys with cross functional teams. I have also in a private capacity served as a consultant to the G4S on Electronic security system.
I served for a year as the Computer systems assistant for the UNDSS in Nairobi at G6 level as will be shown by my herein attached resume. I am currently the Lead consultant on Security at Coriass Integrity management Consultant.

- Ensure protection of UN personnel, property and procedure as per the Standard operating procedures.
- Management including training deployment and motivation of the security team.
- Oversee the operations of the UNON Security Communications/IT Office.
-Coordinate and supervise the installations of Communication /IT equipment on behalf of the service.
-Act as the Security focal point and Coordinate with the UNON ICTS Department to ensure proper and prompt maintenance of Faulty Communication /IT equipment.
-Coordinate all requests from Security personnel on their IT needs and liaise with the ICTS Department /Security stores for their provision.
-Act as the focal point for the UNON Security Intranet page and ensure that all items are up to date.

- Using intelligence methods and procedures to seek out the phenomenon of corruption as opposed to the traditional reactive approach
- Investigations leading to execution of operations and arrests on suspects of corruption
- Realization , implementation and continuous updating of the security policy to ensure protection of the assets, personnel and procedures of the commission.
- Training other investigators on intelligence methodology

Some notable experiences at KACC :-
Key in developing the commissions informer (whistle blower) network , the security policy and contingency plans.
Actively involved in the strategic planning process for the organization
Key in setting up the technical services section including identifying, sourcing and procuring the necessary systems to give the commission technical operations capabilities.
Identifying the training needs of the officers in the Intelligence Production department of KACC and developing a clear training requirements policy document and training guidelines since most of the officers were freshly recruited and did not have the required basic intelligence training.
Overhauled the existing Internet and network policy and procedure to enhance information security in the highly computerized environment.
Involved in the developing the user requirements document for the ERP and the ISMS (integrated Security management System) that is currently being implemented.
Working in collaboration with the protective services division my team did a comprehensive security survey of integrity center and other commission installations and developed a comprehensive blueprint for the implementation of ISMS ( Integrated Security Management System)
Research and development (R & D) formed the section with the aim of keeping the commission up to speed in terms of what is new in investigative and intelligence technology.

Security monitoring of sensitive areas including refugee camps and advising government accordingly.
