As Round Island Head Warden, my responsibilities include:
Planning and continuing the native plants restoration program, monitoring the nest sites and: collecting morphometrics data of sea birds, ringing new birds on the island monitoring the population of reptiles endemic to the islet (e.g. Round Island boa and Guenther`s Gecko), maintenance of the field station infrastructure ensuring that all the machineries (Strimmer, generators, jackhammer) are in good conditions., overseeing staffs/ students from other institutions, planning expeditions to the island, maintaining high quarantine standards, health safety, implementing restoration plans and drafting reports.
