Whilst working at Barnet Hospital I was the union secretary for 4 terms as Secretary I had to hold monthly meetings for the staff as well as hospital management and was involved in the writing of the hospital policies. I had to arrange training days for the reps and arranged a recruitment day for more members. I arranged a few day trips for the members too. I also worked as an on-call mortician whilst at Barnet Hospital. As the on-call mortician, I was responsible for the deceased to be handed over to the undertakers and had to lay the deceased in the chapel of rest for the relatives to view. I was a link nurse for health and safety and used to carry out health and safety inspections every 6 months for the area in which I worked. I also had to attend monthly health and safety meetings. I also trained as a manual handling trainer’s trainer. I arranged the graduation ball when I graduated from university. At present I am working in an acute medical ward which requires a great deal of teamwork and staff management. I am very punctual and cannot tolerate lateness; I am very particular with my work and always see to it that my targets are met to the highest standard. I am always looking for ways to improve my knowledge and skills and take part in most training days that my place of work have to offer.
I am looking for employment where I can expand my knowledge and new experiences. I like to travel and meet new people so a little travel would be an advantage. I enjoy working on computers and know how to use MS office, MS excel and most other programmes, so some computer work would be favourable.
