2006 – 2007 Head of Quality – Airbus A320 Wing China
Managing the implementation and deployment of the Quality Strategy for the China Wing Project.
• Upholding the standards during the introduction and development of the Wing Assembly.
• Assuring the QMS of the Chinese activity.
• Defining, monitoring and acting upon the Quality Gates and associated KPI’s necessary for successful completion of the Project.
• Applying current Quality change methodologies during the Planning phase of a Project.

o Advanced Quality Tools and Planning
• During the Pre-FAI Phase provide guidance for both the Airbus Project Team and the Supplier.
To guide, educate and train the Supplier in various tools and techniques and to maintain the Quality aspect of the projects remains on track. Thereafter, to provide continuing support as required during the projects progress inevitably to a successful conclusion.
2003 - 2005 Airbus Toulouse – Internal Business Consultant
Providing internal consultancy support to Airbus Change programmes in particular the company wide Route 06 Business Change projects. Increased efficiency savings by Cost reduction of Euros 600 Million. Delivered to the business Euros 120 Million in cash savings and a 30% reduction in Lead Time.
Projects I have consulted for include:
• Developing a Make or Buy Policy based on Core-Non Core competences.
• Manufacturing Productivity project to reduce costs and enhance efficiency
• Lead Time Reduction project for Long Range and Single Aisle Airbus Aircraft Section manufacture.
• Customization Lead Time Reduction in particular with BFE Suppliers.
