Main activities
• Carry out checks on the following aircraft: Boeing B767, B747, B777, B737, airbus A340, A330, A319, ATR42, ATR72.
• Perform and record all carried out on aircraft as per Technical Procedures
• Sign for all work done
• Report all doubtful or unusual conditions
• Assist Aircraft Engineer or superior on arrival of aircraft (Park, Insert chocks, Communicate with the Flight Deck and record and advise arrival time to all concerned, Connect ground handling equipment as required, Perform walk around check, Check fluid levels and service as necessary, Check technical and cabin log books and seek guidance for rectification if required, Prepare and tow aircraft, Check helpers and cleaners work)
• Assist Aircraft Engineer or superior at departure (Perform pre-flight check and advise of any condition, Obtain fuel figure, refuel aircraft and complete required paper work, Prepare aircraft for pushback, Verify logbooks and aircraft paper work for completeness, Perform aircraft departure)
• Familiar with engine components replacement such as IDG (integrated drive generator), fuel pumps and filters, EDP (engine driven pump),igniters. Has also participated in several boroscope inspection of the compressors, combustion chamber and turbines.
• Assist Aircraft Engineer or superior with Maintenance (Draw required parts, tools and equipment from stores. Perform work as required by job instructions, Get work cross checked by appropriately qualified personnel, Assist in carrying out operational checks and tests to ensure serviceability of equipment)
