MPaln degree was offered by the UTS as a major degree to support my Bachelors of Architecture Degree (SLIA Part 1) in 2004. Further this MPlan degree qualifies me for Corporate membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA). This is the National Professional Association representing Urban and Regional Planners in Australia and overseas. It also promotes the artistic and scientific development of regions, cities and towns. Further I have been offered the Associate membership of the Sri Lanka Institute of Town Planners.
Two Research Papers were presented. In 2007 Research paper has been presented to the Colombo School of Architecture (CSA) on “An Analytical Study of Interior Environmental Conditions of Ecologically Sustainable Urban Houses in Sri Lanka” (Research paper attached). In 2004 Research paper has been presented to the university of Technology Sydney (UTS) on “How to Achieve Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) in Urban Housing in Sri Lanka”

I have over 15 years of working experience and eager to gain experience in foreign employment, I would be thankful for your assistance to secure senior professional employment position in line with my skills and experience.
As to my work experience, since 1988 -2002, 2004- 2008 I served as the Managing director for Design and Construction companies DNW Associates and DNW Associates (PVT)Ltd. I was responsible for designing of Urban Planning projects, Architectural designs, Interior projects, Project Management, Landscaping projects, Quantity surveying, and Construction projects. The above experience includes multi storied commercial buildings, residential buildings and residential building complexes, hotel projects, factories, warehouses, international schools, sports complexes etc.
The most reason comprehensive Urban Planning project was a township development 56Km away from Colombo at “Warakapola”. Proposed township development was for the Urban Development Authority of Sri Lanka (UDA) which included the development of the town, the new bus terminus and the integrated commercial development project on 7 acres of land.
