MWH Hill is a multinational firm providing engineering, construction, operations, and related services to public and private clients on six continents.
Architectural Engineer – Alexandria, Egypt.
• Rehabilitation expansion and upgrading seven existing water treatment facilities and related on and off- site facilities, including new infrastructure, and new monitoring and controls.
($65 million - USAID financed.)
• MWH provided construction management consultant (CMC) services and construction inspection for the Alexandria Water Company (AWCO). As the on-site representative for MWH on three of the existing water treatment plants and one off-site Bulk Chlorine Storage Facility, I was responsible for the following:
- Inspect site conditions prior to start of construction activities. Verify the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works. Check for obstructions. Photograph and Document the condition of existing property that might be damaged by the work. Make sure all existing structures, property, utilities and
- Inspect the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals.
- Prepare daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. Perform all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.

• Construction of a 4th production plant ,expansion of the Abu Qir Fertilizer Company and construction of administration and staff accommodation residential complex , the residential complex which particularly designed to accommodate around 1500 employees including workers in Abu Qir, East of Alexandria.
The residential complex was consisting of 40 villas and 75 residential buildings including service areas and sport club and all the facilities (hospital, playing grounds, etc...)
• The Main Contractor responsible for the design and construction of the project is Krupp Uhde, from Dortmund Germany. The contractor for the construction is a consortium of Petrojet, Egypt with Geneco – Vebro from Italy.
(Value in excess of $100 million.)
• ACE provides construction consultant services for the Alexandria Fertilizer Company. I was responsible for the followings

• Construction of the new Bibliotheca Alexandrina Library Project.

• Arab Contractors-Balfour Beatty Joint Ventures were responsible for the construction of the project, including procurement and shop drawing design. As a Technical Office Engineer I was responsible for the following:
- Preparation of shop drawings, with full installation details, including full interdisciplinary coordination. This included shop drawings for masonry work, exterior claddings, plumbing, lighting and utilities.
- Assist in coordination between the involved parties (arch/ electro-mech)
- Preparation of interior design shop drawing , with its installation details

- Estimating the total cost of maintenance materials.
- Turning over sections of the work to the Owner, including the roofing area and system, the ground water system, the pool system, exterior and interior walls, floors and doors.
