I would like to express my interest in joining your organization with the intention of pursuing a career in the capacity of architect being involved in the design/design development, and/or construction management and supervision of projects. I have high hopes to work and learn in an environment which requires applying professional skills and fosters for an international platform specially that I speak fluently English, French, and Arabic; and more importantly I have been exposed in the course of my professional experience to projects of all scales in the Arabic Gulf area, Europe (Romania) and Africa.
I believe that my working experience up to date along with my education in architecture at the American University of Beirut, one of the leading universities in the Middle East, uniquely qualify me to make a positive contribution to the company.
My achieved professional skills are structured along three pillars: 1.Client-Relationship, 2. Office, and 3. Site, providing me with strengths in design and project management from project initiation to project completion:
1.Client-Relationship:
-Understanding of the client’s needs for innovation, space management, for economy and time scheduling, and market consideration.
-Flexibility in the design and the accomodation for on the spot modifications/variations
-Exposed to different business models used by the developer
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
2.Office:
- Project development from the draft final to construction and tender phase including Design Safety Reviews and addenda.
- Inter-disciplinary coordination and understanding of the scope of work for all trades and departments involved in the project
- Integration of quality plans in the project design and information management process
- Working on design proposals involving high urban complexity and understanding of architectural detailing
- Liaison between design office and regional office
- Communications skills and ability to work in a team where I had to coordinate and report between architects, group leader, and project manager.
- Writing reports (concept design reports and compilation of other trades’ reports)
3.Site:
-Coordination between different stakeholders involved in the construction process
-Gained detailing and technical/construction skills
-Gained experience in Construction and Site management for fast-track constructions

| I have joined Dar Al-Handasah (Shair and Partners) in 2006 immediately after graduation as Junior Architect where my work focused on designing for competitions and project development through coordination with different engineering trades. According to ENR, Dar Al-Handasah ranks number 25 in the top Global Design Firms for the year 2008, and number 10 in the top International Design Firms for the year 2008. In May 2008, in the pursuit for further international on ground experience, I moved to Triumf Construct S.A. located in Bucharest-Romania, a major real estate developer, where I have assumed broader responsabilities and been exposed to wider aspects of project lifecycle from pre-design to execution working closely with the client/owner as the main architect of a 180 rooms four stars hotel. There my work focused on design, execution and site supervision, coordinating among client/engineers/subcontractors/vendors for completing a fast-tracked construction. |
