I got aware of the entire drug development and drug discovery process. My assignment was related to the Gene Knockdown through genetic modification. I was working at the molecular level where I designed primers, cloned a particular gene of interest, transformed it and did protein induction. I performed various techniques such as plating, PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, electroporation, heat shock technique, electrophoresis, Alkaline Lysis, Plasmid Isolation, Gel Extraction etc.
