i am searching for job opportunity on contract basis in the fields like education (agriculture/horticulture), or floral production, nursey, crop propagation, etc.
i ve developed good ability to work in team and good communication skill as in the last few years i ve been involved in the public awareness and education campaign for protection of biodiversity in Mauritius
i ve been able to organise different workshops in Mauritius and got the opportunity to represent the government of Mauritius in African countries in relation to International Conventions
I want to enlarge my knowledge and progress in my career by working in other countries.
I really believe that when someone is sincere to himself and his job, he can do the best.
You may wish to note that English is our country official language and French is also taught till the age of 17 (compulsory). I can fleuntly speak in both languages.

Actual Working Responsibilities
In charge of Education and Public awareness activities under the guidance of the Ag. Director of NPCS. The NPCS carried out Education and Public awareness activities to sensitize the school community and the public at large on the value of biodiversity and their protection so that people can understand these important issues. These include talks, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, seminars and publications.
Delivering of talks to different groups of individuals, such as students of primary, secondary and tertiary level and Training of tourist guides.
Secretary and member in different committees at National level, such as the National Threatened Plant Technical Committee, Preparation of The Third National Report – Forest and Terrestrial Biodiversity and the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan.
Coaching of internship students attached to the department and assisting of University students for their final year projects.
In charge of processing of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) permits, as the National Parks & Conservation Service is the CITES Management Authority of the Republic of Mauritius.
Involve in Micromanagement of Rare Plants, that is in situ and ex situ management programmes.
Involve in evaluation of Environment Impact Assessment for different projects, such as Agricultural, Commercial, IRS, etc.
Involve in Offshore Islets Restoration Programmes.
Designing of indoor educational display boards, signboards, flyers and posters for Education and Public Awareness campaigns.

Workshop Organiser: Fully responsible for the organisation and smooth running of five workshops (4 in Mauritius & 1 in Rodrigues) about the National Biodiversity Strategy & Action Plan in November 2005;

Country Representative in a Regional Workshop
Represented Mauritius at a regional /sub-regional meetings to discuss national experiences in National Biodiversity Strategic & Action Plan (NBSAP), and the integration of biodiversity concerns into relevant sectors. This workshop was held in at the xxxxx Country Hotel, South Africa, from January to February 2008.
It was a great opportunity to share national experiences in developing, implementing and updating NBSAP, feed into in-depth review, prepare to use consolidated guidance, discuss best practices for effective mainstreaming, discuss main challenges to implementation, exchange solutions & approaches to overcome these and finally identify strategic priorities and next steps.
