II: ABOUT ME
I am Singaporean by nationality, Eurasian by race, Dutch-Portuguese-Indonesian-Indian, if you really want to get into detail. I have spent most of my years living overseas, 13 of which were spent in Indonesia. I now consider it my second home. Or maybe my first. I’m not exactly sure.
I was born the second child to missionary parents, and into a full-time volunteer organization, with which I have spent most of my life, and to which I credit most of my experiences, education and upbringing. I`ve been raised as a Christian and my parents have instilled in me a godly outlook on life and the world around me.
I consider myself a fun-loving, energetic, happy, and easy-going person, but I am also efficient and a hard worker, and will always put my all into everything that I do. I’m a fast learner, and always willing and interested to learn new things.
I would say that my passion is music. I love it, and spend most of my free time doing something that involves that.

Iii: professional experience & skills
06/07 – 09/07: worked with “IPACC International,” in Singapore doing Direct Sales & Marketing.
08/07 – 09/07: Worked as a Part-time English teacher at English First.
11/04 – Present : Family Care Indonesia, (fcindo.com) is a full-time volunteer organization, with which I have been attached to and exposed to since birth, and throughout my schooling years. I have been working with it full-time since about November 2004, as opposed to just helping out my parents. Despite what the name of the organization may depict, its available vocations are numerous.
In Family Care, I’ve had decent experience in PR, HR, as my main job was finding sponsors for our ever increasing list of projects for the underprivileged around Indonesia. Through this, I believe I can relate to people exceptionally well, and consider this a tremendous asset in the areas of PR, teaching, and counseling.
I also have experience with the care-taking and teaching of the children and teenagers within our center. I covered a fairly extensive range of subjects, from regular scholastic subjects such as English and Mathematics, to practical and vocational skills.
As part of our projects within Family Care, I’ve been on trips to several locations around Indonesia for the purpose of delivering aid; both financial and material. While on these trips, we sometimes incorporate simple English classes for children and teenagers in various under privileged areas. These areas include: Jakarta, Denpasar, Atambua, & Kupang.
11/06-12/06: During my time in Family Care, I was also a presenter / host on an TVRI program: Speak Good English. My job was to explain in a fun, lively (and often spontaneous and impromptu) way the ins and outs of English usage and grammar to an SMP/SMA audience, to bring out the different “points” from the dramas, and to explain the rules (or lack thereof) in the easiest, most down-to-earth manner.
10/07-06/08: Over the last couple years, I’ve been travelling a bit, the last year of which was spent in Japan. While there, I spent most of my time taking care of and teaching children of ages 0-5 years old. This included basic, pre-school English, reading and writing, and other non-scholastic activities.
11/05- Present: Dance Performing & Choreography was another large part of my job, as we often do shows, mainly during Christmas time, both as entertainment and as a fundraiser for our organization. I have been a dancer, choreographer, and manager for my dance team every Christmas for the last 3 years.
