I assisted with the teaching of Information Technology and keyboard skills to Junior Secondary pupils. As part of my voluntary service to the school I also introduced new teaching methodologies in the field of keyboard skills. I was also called on to assist in the administrative sphere of the school in the area of data processing.

My main responsibility was to answer calls from clients such as doctors or medical facilities and provide answers to their queries. This involved helping them regarding their patients eligibility, benefit information as well as to discuss claims issues between the client and the providers. It was also my responsibility to Inform the providers if a procedure would be a covered benefit or if it needed authorization or not. Answers to queries had to be conveyed in a reassuring manner together with step by step instructions to resolve application issues. In addition all the claims that were processed had to be reviewed.

I also added some basic computer programming languages like Visual Basic and Microsoft Access to the higher class. In addition ,I trained all my students from elementary and secondary to type properly without looking on the keyboard which will be an advantage for them in the future. And it turns out to be very successful.
