    Project: DHL Data Warehouse Commercial for DHL, Prague, Czech Republic
    (January 2008 - present)

    - Held the role of Teradata Databases Specialist on this project.
    - Participated in database consolidation carried out together
    with migration from one Teradata server to another.
    Utilized Subversion version control system.
    - Modified data materialization procedures based on business analyst's
    inputs.
    - Wrote various shell scripts necessary for the warehouse
    operation/miscellaneous tasks.


    Project: Enterprise Data Warehouse for KyivStar, Kyiv, Ukraine
    (August 2006 - present)

    - Held two roles on this project: Telco Data Model Specialist and
    Teradata DBA.
    - Participated in the following analyses:
    - KyivStar's source systems analysis
    - Current data warehouse analysis
    - Business analysis with end users
    - Also participated in Teradata's Telecommunication Logical Data Model
    customization to KyivStar's requirements, physical data model design
    and its database implementation.
    Worked on finance and campaign-related subject areas and tested the
    corresponding ETL.
    - Carried out most of DBA activities: designed and created database
    hierarchy, initially sized the databases and managed their sizes
    afterwards, created and modified according to developers' needs all
    database objects, set up users, roles, profiles and general security
    rules based on customer's internal standards, designed and maintained
    table compression and statistics collection, carried out various
    maintenance tasks (packdisk, showfsp, scandisk, checktable, etc.),
    backed up and restored databases according to project's needs,
    monitored operations of Teradata systems, configured workloads, etc.
    - Participated in ETL development: implemented, in Teradata
    user-defined function written in C, finite state machine algorithm
    to determine phone number call area. Also implemented in C
    phone number normalization functions.
    - Interfaced business users at interviews during business analysis
    phase, KyivStar's IT staff, Ukrainian contractors developing ETL,
    Teradata technical support staff and others.
    - Wrote several manuals: "C User-defined Functions Documentation",
    "DBA Documentation", co-authored "ETL Operation Documentation",
    "ODI Development Documentation", "ODI Knowledge Module Documentation",
    "ODI Administration Documentation" and
    "Technical Architecture Documentation".
    - After initial customer's discontent with automatically generated
    "ODI Development Documentation", designed documentation sample to

    - Administered Oracle occasionally - e.g. saved Sunopsis repository

    Pre-sale activity: Business case for DHL, Prague, Czech Republic

    - Prepared supporting materials for business case with the customer;
    analyzed their warehouse data and calculated approximate potential
    savings.
    - From the financial point of view, the resulting project turned out
    to be the most successful one for Teradata with this client.


    Project: Enterprise Data Warehouse for Eurotel (now Telefonica O2),
    Prague, Czech Republic (January 2006 - June 2006)

    - Got familiar with Teradata RDBMS on this first Teradata-based project.
    - Worked on bug-fixing in production data warehouse; analyzed data and
    ETL process, diagnosed the bugs and proposed changes to ETL and/or
    data. Carried out the changes - wrote the necessary SQL.
    Got acquaint with the data model (ERwin) and ETL process (SQL scripts
    and DataStage).
    - Took part in team effort to test the 3R customer segmentation.

    Data Architecture for this health insurance company, mainly for its
    largest and most important project, Claims and Providers Redesign
    (CPR) - new claims processing system to interface and communicate
    with the current production system running on OS/390.
    Also worked on other projects, both new and modifications of existing
    production systems.

    - Data architecture, physical and logical data design using CA ERwin;
    creation, management and production maintenance of database objects;
    UNIX Korn Shell scripting; utilization of SQL*Loader, Export and
    Import tools to load the data from mainframe extracts and PL/SQL
    development to transform the data in order to load it correctly.
    Occassional database tuning.
    - Delivered to production operation the Claims History, Contracts
    and Medical Coverage History components of the CPR project.
    - Interfaced and cooperated with DBA group to create and configure

    mainframe programmers to ensure proper creation and load of data
    extracts, with application developers developing the from-end parts

    Worked as Oracle Database Specialist for the IT Infrastructure
    Development Department of the largest bank in the Czech Republic.

    - As department's Single Point of Contact for the bank's CRM & DWH

    Dealt with external providers and with system integrator.
    - Worked as a DBA for the CRM project. Participated in database
