Details of the Project :
1) The details of the Third Buriganga bridge is as follows:
Total Length of bridge = 708m
Main bridge length = @47m X 9 = 423m
Approach bridge (Viaduct) = @15m X 19 = 285m
Approach Roads = 2.64 km at both sides.
Foundation details:
Having 96 nos. 1200mm dia. 32m long cast-in-situ piles at 8 nos. Pier foundations of main bridge and 132 nos. 600mm dia. 30m long cast-in-situ pile foundation at 19 nos. Pier foundation of approach bridges (viaducts).
Superstructure details:
1) Having 8 nos. 47m long pre-stressed simply supported box girders of main bridge and 19 nos. RCC deck girder of approach bridges.
2) 2 Nos. 3 cell RCC new box culvert.
3) Approach roads are consists of earthwork, Sub-base, and Lower base, Upper-base, Asphalt binder course and Wearing course.
4) Slope protection work of the embankment and river training work at the two abutment of the bridge.
5) Electrical utility works in the bridge and in the approach roads, Road appurtenance works including drain, road signs & Thermoplastic road painting works etc.
Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for design all type of formwork, shutter, false work (Staging for slab and girder concreting).
2) Fabrication and installation of centring truss (as a support to concreting Box-Girder). This is a truss of two part (main truss of length 39.8 m and two nosing truss of length 24 m each, depth of truss is 4 m) supported by two group of Roller (39.8 m apart) on trestle on pile cap. This idea was adopted only to facilitate navigation through Buriganga River (One of the busiest water way of Bangladesh). After concreting one Box Girder the truss will be dragged to next span of bridge.
3) At the beginning of project engaged with survey work to fix the road alignment as well as fitting of horizontal and vertical curve.

The contract covers two independent scopes as mentioned hereunder:
1890 bored pile works or pilling installation of the North Pad and South Pad sites(To develop natural gas processing plant), including drilling, disposal of cuttings, fabricating reinforcing steel cages, placing concrete, and site cleanup.
20,000 Cu.M Ready-mixed concrete supply by providing on-site Concrete Batching plant, for both North and South pad locations, with complete operation crew, including supply of transit concrete mixers and other ready-mixed concrete handling and transport equipment.
