    Electrical Distribution Maintenance Manager 1996 April - 2003 April
    Responsible for the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of the overhead and underground electrical distribution system for a reliable service to approximately 93,000 industrial, commercial and residential costumers.
    · Effectively managed a team of Electrical Distribution Supervisors and Contractors in the construction, operation and maintenance of the overhead and underground, High, Medium and Low Voltage electrical distribution system and the associated equipments, including substations, oil, air and SF6 interrupters, capacitor banks, switchgears, reclosers, high-voltage breakers and other major apparatus.
    · Supervised power restoration activities following major outages, under emergencies due to heavy rainstorms or earthquakes. Managed the human and material resources coordinated with the Dispatcher and ensured that the code of safety work practices were followed and any violation or unsafe action was properly managed and that employees are trained and motivated.
    · Performed standby duty as engineer responsible for the reliability of service to the costumers.
    · Properly coordinated with the main costumers all system planned outages for preventive maintenance ensuring adecuate coordination of work force.
    · Led the implementation of the “hot lines” maintenance procedures. This permited the company a significant savings by reducing the planned outages and to comply with the total outage time allowed for main feeders by the government agency regulations.
    · Managed the EPC contracts and engineering projects to provide technical solutions and services to main industrial costumers, providing an extra income to the company. An important contract was assigned by the local petrochemical company (National Petroleum Refinery Co.), for the maintenance of the High Voltage (44 KV), Medium Voltage (12 KV) power lines and substations.
    · Performed daily system-planning activities, which included routing of main feeder lines, substations sites, switching and sectionalization points to collect data throughout the year to submit annual budget recommendation for the electric distribution system upgrades, including replacement of old facilities for a proper preventive maintenance.
    · Prepared and administered specifications and bid protocols for Distribution Contractors and approved monthly invoice payment prior verification of standards compliance.
    · Managed the Annual Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Budget.

    Electrical Distribution Analyst 1993 April - 1996 March
    Responsible for the analysis and design of the electric distribution network. Reported to the Distribution Engineering Manager and provided supervision to Electrical Distribution Designers and CAD drawers.
    · Performed the analysis to recommend upgrades to existing system based on load forecast. Provided detailed design and projects plans for reinforcement of feeders and ensured reliability improvements and capacity increases, satisfied short term and long term load demands.
    · Ensured system customers satisfaction with quality and delivery of services.
    · Managed the Annual Investment Budget and established priority for the approved projects.
