I am a shipbuilding engineer, with a large experience in professional coating. I am NACE Certified coating inspector level 1.
Due to my engineering experience in the shipyards, were working 4 years as Ship repair manager, I do have the knowledge and skills to solve the technical problems associated with painting process.
Also I do have large experience to deal in professional way with large team of blasters and painters, with complex activities.
I would like to work in a shipping/shipbuilding/oil company company , where to use my skills and experience, in coating and shipbuilding fields.
I do have large experience managing blasting and coating activities on the highest level of quality and productivity. I do have the same large experience working abroad and with foreign companies. My last employment is for a french company, working on offshore area.
Im 2008 in March, I graduate NACE classes, CIP level 1, and a do have NACE level Coating inspector certification.
In the same time I would like to present to you a serie of advantages, which I do hope, that will recommend me as an optimal candidate blasting/ coating supervisor/inspector activities:
Due to my engineer education, I do have all necessary skills and knowledge to allow me to manage high quality blasting and painting works. I am a technical and innovative person, able to deal and to find solutions in any circumstances related to coating activities. I do know every type of equipment used for these activities, understanding how they are designed and the proper working mode.
Due to my large experience in coating industry, management level, in shipyards and offshore environments, I do have the experience to manage large teams, in a safe manner, to conduct high quality works. During my previous activities, I never had a major incident or accident happening to me or to anyone of my workers. Also, all the works which I performed were at the requested quality level, without any major quality claims or rejected works.
Also due to my experience and education, I do have to negotiation skills, which allows me to find the best communication channels with the clients’ representative and teams’ members, in order to solve any subject related to the quality, safety practice, materials management.
As in the time the coating activities are very important in shipbuilding and offshore industry, using latest materials and technologies, I was working with every kind of materials, equipments and technique used now. I use to work with epoxy paint, solvent free paints, water born paints, antiskid and fireproof paint, alkyd and acryl paints. Related to equipment it a normal practice at the moment to use pressure pots, airless equipments, multicomponent airless equipments, compressors, high pressure washing machines, blastpots. Also I use to work the same with all the techniques and equipments associated to inspection activities: WFT gauge, DFT gauge, psychometer, salt contamination kits, profile inspection equipment (testex of micrometer type), low voltage holiday detectors.
Due to my experience and NACE certification, I do have all the knowledge to follow the quality management requirments, to keep quality records.
During my previous activities in shipyards and offshore area, I use to work in tide time bars, under stress conditions, on long daily program. Actually these kind of situations makes me more competitive, having enough energy and determination to deal in this kind of situation.

• In charge of coordination of a 35 peoples, fitters and welders, in a project based contract.
