(1/11/1999 –1/11/2000) one year as trainee dentist, under rotation scheme in the whole branches of dentistry in (Al-Kadimia Specialized center of Dentistry and dental health care) and it’s related centers for Prosthodontics and Orthodontics, Preventive Dentistry and Maxillofacial surgery /Baghdad.
The scheme include
. One –month oral and maxillofacial surgery course in the surgical specialties teaching hospital (Al-Karkh General Hospital).
. Two weeks Pedodontics and preventive dentistry center in bab-almoa’adam/Baghdad.
. Two –months Prosthetic dentistry in dental health center in Al-Dawoody Specialized center for Prosthodontic treatment in Baghdad.
. (Two weeks Oral medicine and Diagnosis, and two weeks dental Radiology, and one month Periodontology, and two months oral surgery, and two months operative dentistry) in Al-Kadimia Specialized Center of Dentistry in Baghdad.
2. For the period from 1/1/2001-15/7/2002 served in Iraqi
Army as Dentist.
3. For the period from 1/8/2002-1/11/2003 I worked as Trainee dentist in primary medical care center in Baiji.
4. For the period from 1/11/2003-1/112004 I worked as General Practitioner in primary medical care in the city of Baiji.
During this period from 1/12001-1/11/2004 ,I have undertaken all the dental treatments like ;perfect diagnosis with x-ray (when required),Crown and Bridges, removable appliance, Complete Dentures ,all kind s of conservative dentistry ,Amalgam fillings ,light cure fillings, Root treatment therapy ,for adult and pediatric patients also minor surgical operation includes ,Surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth, Removal of small polyps ,granular tissues and meucocells ,and of course extraction of teeth.
Also Teeth bleaching and whitening via the new whitening systems, in addition to the routine dental prophylaxis like scaling and polishing and root planning.
5. From 1/11/2004 till present time I am working at Al-Karkh General Hospital as senior house officer.
During this period I performed:
. Emergency and on call duets.
. Surgical operations; either as an assistant or operator under supervision of many different varieties of surgical operations, which include but not limited to:
1.Tumors (both malignant and benign) in the mouth, head and neck regions, with it’s related prophylactic lymphadenectomy and flaps reconstruction, immediate and delayed bone grafting, pre. And post. Surgical managements and patients care.
Different direct trauma to the face like, road traffic accidents, bullets and shells injuries (especially during war time) with its related emergency managements and first aids, and boosted in the post war period.
Orthographic surgery to esthetically correct congenital and acquired dental and facial deformities with local or distant bone grafts –surgical wards duties and patients care and follow up as well as consultations and out patients duties.
All the activities mentioned above had been documented and directly supervised by:
Dr.Abdul Wahab A. Al-Nasiri- Maxillofacial consultant B.D.S., F.F.D.S.R.C.S.I. And Oral Implantologist.
Dr. Mohamed Rahim Al-Yasiri- consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, F.D.S.R.C.P.S. – GLASGOW.
In parallel to the work I performed in the medical centers and hospitals during official working time, I worked in the afternoon as first assistant to Dr. Hathem Abdul Aal ZIARAH, (B.D.S., M.Med.Sc. F.F.D.R.C.S. Eng, Consultant oral and Maxillofacial Surgery assistant prof./Al-Kadimia Teaching Hospital –Baghdad, in his private clinic for the period 1999 (immediately after graduation) till present time.
During this period I assisted Dr.Haithem in handling cases of facial trauma mandibular fracture, war surgery, civilian trauma, surgery of salivary glands, cystic lesions of the jaws under local anesthesia.
I am working in Al-Yasa polyclinic in sultanate of Oman as a general practitioner Dentist from 24 of September till now.
