July 2008,Summer School in Abu Dhabi with the british Council.
1st september 2007--30th June 2008 English Instructor at Sohar College of Applied Sciences,Oman.My students were Foundation,First and Second years,mixed male and female studying English for Academic Purposes.
1st March--30th June 2007.employed by Zayed University as native English language teacher to teach English in a boys primary school.
February 2007 one month at a language school in Abu Dhabi.This was a mistake.
1984--1994 registered teacher with Queensland Education,supply teaching in High Schools.This called for flexibility and adaptability as I could be standing in for and English teacher one day and metal work the next.
1971--1972 and 1974 employed by the Department of Education,Papua New Guinea as a secondary teacher.my subjects were English,Social Science and Math.These students had been taught in English from their first day at school,but for some it was their third language.
1969--1970 Cadet Education Officer for Papua New Guinea whilst completeing my Degree and Diploma
Due to my personal situation here have been extended periods when I was able to work in
a school.However,at these times I home schooled my children,worked in business and assisted my husband.I have also done volunteer work for different organizations.
