Project: QG 3&4 Onshore Project, Ras Laffan Qatar.
The position is a field based role working out of the QG3&4 project office championing Incident and Injury Free (IIF).
The purpose of IIF is to elevate the level of awareness to safety of project personnel by making it personal, relevant and important; to the extent that it impacts on there choices and actions during work and after work.
• Take an active role in safety management on site and ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental requirements.
• Deliver IIF orientation sessions
• Continually drive the IIF philosophy across the project, helping the workforce adjust to safe working practices
• Advise management, supervisors, charge-hands and workers of safe working practices
• Oversee the delivery of tool-box talks, hazard assessments etc. To ensure all information is appropriately delivered to the workforce
• Assist supervisors and charge-hands in the delivery of health and safety related information
• Work with QG3&4 HSE department to ensure that all construction activities are undertaken in accordance with project procedures
• Define the scope for each assigned initiative and identify the infrastructure availability, quantification of the required materials and identification of resources for execution.
• To work closely with line supervisor and also the IIF project executors from the contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor, inspect, audit and guide all engineering and construction activities performed by the executing party.
• Liaise and coordinate with and provide expert advice to the other disciplines and groups in the project team.
• Communicating and reporting on the work in progress to the line management.
• Witness and inspect Contractor’s works as indicated on the approved project scope for specifications.
• Provide technical advice and input to other groups and disciplines within the IIF projects Onshore including safety, mechanical, electrical, instruments, commissioning, operations, procurement and commercial.
• Be familiar with all applicable Project and Qatargas philosophies, policies and procedures and ensure full compliance.
• Identify and anticipate on potential future problem areas and develop timely solutions.
• Establish target schedules and project estimates for approval by IIF Leadership Team.
